A healthier version of apple pie

In the course of baking, I have tasted many fat laden pie crust and fillings. With xmas round the corner, I figure that I or even you shall not load up too much on fat and all. So why not try this low fat version? Its not going to be as delicious as the old traditional fatty version but I am sure it will at least cut the calorie intake by half!

For the crust:

1 regular egg
30g unsalted butter
2g salt
1g instant yeast
110g All purpose flour
1 tbsp black sesame seeds

Fillings
Sliced apples – I used Granny Smith
A little honey
Handful of chopped pistachios

Directions:
Mixed all the ingredients for the crust and wrap it up. Refrigerate for 30 mins.

After 30 mins, roll out the crust. Dust the pan with flour and roll the dough onto the tart pan.

Put pie weights onto the tart and blind bake it at 185 degree for 10 mins.

After that, take it out and lay the sliced apples on top and bake it for another 10 mins.

Once that is done, let the pie cooled down and drizzled on the honey and garnished with the pistachio when ready to serve.

I have used yuzu honey from Japan to give the apples a slight sour tone. Thats the way I like my apples to be.
